For indoor substations, high-rise buildings and fire-sensitive sites, Silverstone cast-resin dry-type transformers eliminate oil entirely: epoxy-resin encapsulated windings, low partial discharge, and maintenance-free operation in harsh, humid or dusty environments.

Choose dry-type where fire safety codes restrict oil-filled equipment: indoor rooms, basements, tunnels, hospitals and high-rise buildings. Oil-immersed remains more economical for outdoor, ground-level installations.

Can dry-type transformers be used outdoors?

Yes, with a weather-protected enclosure. Share your site conditions and we will configure the enclosure rating and cooling accordingly.

Do you provide the enclosure and accessories?

Yes — enclosures, temperature controllers, forced-air cooling fans and PT100 sensors can be supplied as a complete package.
